Objectives

Comedie's goals are to help in:

1. A better understanding of territorial dialogue practices, their success factors, and their role as tools of territorial governance and public policy.

2. The comparison of tools and the confrontation of diverse outlooks on the territorial dialogue: that of local actors, researchers, experts, the French public and practitioners from other countries.

3. Spread useful knowledge on territorial dialogue action and recognition, it's interests and practices.

Current and planned activities

1.Learning from experiences

Comedie proposes a base of experiences, fed in particular by the call for proposals of the Foundation de France «how to manage our environment together». In this program, audits and monographs are also realized.

2. Promoting mutual knowledge and exchange of practices

Provide methodological support for dialogue process leads, offering them a "communication platform" for sharing questions and knowledge. These activities can be undertaken at the request of organizations or local governments.

3. Facilitating meetings between researchers and practitioners

Comedie organizes meetings and seminars (Bordeaux 2003, Rennes 2004, Bar-le-Duc 2004, Lyon 2006, Besançon 2007) to promote exchanges and spread a culture of dialogue.

4. Training

The associations that drive Comedie propose training in dialogue and mediation. These training sessions are intended for professional and training providers.

How to participate?

It is possible to be associated with Comedie in several ways:

For organizations:

• Provide detailed case studies that will lead to recommendations for dialogue; contributing to its financing.

• Propose the organization of regional days and help us raise regional funding

For everyone:

• Feed this Web site by proposing references and lecture notes, announcements of events and trainings, methodological tools or links...

• Participate in trainings or regional meetings.
